This hollow form is another hurricane survivor. I made it from a walnut tree felled during a hurricane a few years ago. Pieces of that tree have been given new lives as bowls, hollow forms, pens, ice cream scoops, shaving kits...the list goes on for quite a bit.
It has a diameter of 7.5", stands 3" tall and weighs 14oz.
If you look closely you will see a few cracks that opened up as I worked the piece. They have been stabilized and should not cause further issues. You may also see a few worm holes on the top view. No worries the residents have left the premises.
