I had a lot of fun creating this piece. To start, the block of wood didn't really impress me at first. But, I decided to give it a go and am I so glad I did. The grain and the color unfolded before my eyes as I worked this piece. It was exciting for a sawdust junkie like me.
Look closely at the center and you will notice that I took the time to inlay another even more interesting piece of maple and added some epoxy and ground stone for color.
Its dimensions are 11.75" diameter, it stands 3.5" tall and weighs 3.5 lbs.
